About Us

The Pro Bono group of INFORMS at UM aims to provide support in topics such as scheduling, resource allocation, continuous improvement, optimization, and decision analysis to organizations in our community that otherwise would not have the resources to afford it.

Past Projects

  • Analyzing and summarizing the "Speak to Your Health" survey of the Genesee County Health Department

  • Providing support to the mobile pantry placement of Food for Thought, an organization that gives "mobile food pantries" to low-income and/or underserved areas around Toledo, OH.

  • Improving the Children’s Center ability to manage caseload capacity of each clinician, department, and the agency as a whole. Performing data analysis to determine patterns and trends related to caseloads

  • Designing facility layout for new tool lending library with the West Willow Neighborhood Association and Habitat for Humanity in Ypsilanti, MI.
